  • The Mixing Ratio: Mix 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of Barbicide concentrate into 32 ounces (4 cups) of cold water. If you are using a smaller mid-size container, mix 1 ounce of concentrate into 16 ounces of water. 
  • The Process: Always fill your jar with water first, then add the Barbicide concentrate. This stops the solution from foaming up and giving you an incorrect measurement. 
  • Contact Time: Submerge your non-porous tools (like metal shears, combs, and plastic brushes) and leave them completely wet for exactly 10 minutes. Do not leave metal tools soaking for hours or overnight, as this can lead to rusting over time. 
  • Frequency: Prepare a fresh batch of solution daily, or sooner if the blue liquid becomes cloudy or visibly dirty.
